When the manager of the Stop Press company inserted an advertisement for a commanding juvenile lead in The Era, 15 November 1916, the address was the Gaiety, Birmingham.

"Fred Wilson and His Company in the Strongest Sketch Repertoire Touring." Sketches performed "The Ace of Hearts", "The Love Child", "And The Woman Told" and "Her Rosary". "The Stage, 3 January 1918

‘An exciting war sketch, “Nurse and Martyr,” will be presented by Cissie Langley and company at the Gaiety theatre every night except Friday, when there will be a special performance of “The Tainted Woman”’. Birmingham Daily Gazette, 22 March 1919.
