Gladys Hastings Walton
Gladys Hastings Walton was a playwright and actress. She was the daughter of Flora Hastings, of the well-known Walter Heming theatrical family. Walton wrote a large number of plays, as well as working as producer for Arthur Hinton's stock companies. She worked for many years with Alfred Denville and toured South Africa with the Sass and Nelson management. Walton died on 1 March 1936, from a blood clot on the heart whilst waiting for an operation. She was 51.
