When ‘Miss Hilda Beverley in “When There Was War,” By Joseph M Wharncliffe’ advertised in The Stage, 24 December 1914, for theatres for future dates, her address for the following week was the T.R., West Bromwich. Similarly The Era, 23 December 1914.

The Stage, 8 April 1915, listed When There Was War as On Tour from 12 April at the Royal, West Bromwich. No evidence has been found to confirm that.

This performance week is listed in The Stage, 6 May 1915.

The Stage, 19 August 1915, carried a notice inserted by Ella Thornton (Mrs. T. C. Conlon) which stated, ‘Private T. C. Conlon’s Romantic Military Drama, The Angelus Bell, to Let for Stock. To be played week of [Tuesday] Aug. 31 at T. R., West Bromwich’. If the play was produced - which has not been confirmed - it was presumably performed by the theatre's stock company. The Stage, 28 October 1915, carried an advertisement for the Theatre Royal, West Bromwich, which mentioned ‘16th week of excellent business with Nina Vaughton and Stanley Gordon’s Stock Co.’.

The Stage, 6 and 13 June 1918, listed On Leave For His Wedding as On Tour from 10 June at the R., West Bromwich. Edward F Furneau’s Personal Company advertised Clifford Rean’s On Leave For His Wedding in The Stage, 20 June 1918: ‘An Instantaneous Success … T.R., West Bromwich, all records broken, after first house Monday. Queue waiting to book seats for Saturday night to the amazement and delight of the resident manager’.

The Stage, 26 September and 3 October 1918, listed A Son of the Sea as On Tour from 30 September at the R., W. Bromwich.

‘Maud Warburton and Wilson Howard’s Back From Overseas’ is listed in ‘calls for next week’ at the Royal, West Bromwich in The Stage, 31 October 1918. Both Back From Overseas and The Broken Trail are listed as on tour at the R., West Bromwich from 4 November in the Stage, 31 October and 7 November 1918.

The Stage, 7 and 14 August 1919, listed Love and The Law as On Tour from 11 August at the R., West Bromwich.

The Era, 10 September 1919, listed in Next Week's Calls for Monday 15 September at the West Bromwich Theatre Royal ‘“Furneaux [sic] On Leave for his Wedding”’. Also The Stage, 11 September 1919.
