‘New Brighton … Fred Karno has taken “Rations” across the water, and this rollicking skit on the coupon system will be greatly enjoyed by Tivoli patrons. The kiss rationing is a whimsical idea, well worked out, while the discovery of Lady Hoardley’s secret by the food-hunting burglars is extremely amusing. Mr. Tom Drew is the life and soul of the revue, appearing in many parts and scoring in each, while Miss Winnie Collins is a piquant artiste, who has some capital turns, and makes the best of them, dressing well, singing sweet, and dancing with much skill and effect’.
