Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A rehash of stale business and jokes. A man advertizes for a wife, and a manager for a leading lady and the two couples get mixed up. There are some imitations of comic singers and a slight burlesque of melodrama, and the thing ends with a boat race, for which the principal sculler has not arrived and the funny man is bribed to personate him. So far as the script indicate it is a harmless affair, merely stale and silly. The songs are stated to have been published. Recommended for Licence. G. S. Street
