Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

An innocuous melodrama, almost readable in parts. The hero is a Canadian who comes to London with an invention for destroying submarines, is tricked out of it by swindlers and of one of the swindlers, with whom he had fallen in love, and who is disgusted with her father's villainy. She is followed by the other villain who of course succeeds in temporarily separating the lovers by obvious falsehoods. But with the help of the comic characters everything comes right. The Canadian’s patter is racy and amusing. Recommended for license. G. S. Street
