Willie's Night Out
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
Willie is the husband of Sybil's old nurse, while she is visiting on the eve of her marriage, when an unpleasant call is paid upon her by an adventuress who threatens to shoot her rather than let her fiancé marry her. Willie, in disgrace with his wife because he has come home late, is told to spend the night by himself in the lumber-room, from which he emerges just in time to prevent the heroine's murder by the adventuress. There is not much point in the sketch, nor any harm; provided that the "undress" of the heroine, and subsequently of the old nurse, is kept within bounds of propriety. Recommended for Licence. Ernest A. Bendall.
