A burglar sketch of the usual comic pattern, but with an ingenious touch of novelty in its development. The thief, when caught by the master of a flat packing up his silver, takes off his Whitechapel attire and poses as an agent, for Cubbs Safes, giving a practical demonstration of the need for their purchase. He appears to be getting on alright with his fable, even when the policeman summoned by phone arrives at the scene; but it turns out - unfortunately for his story - that his proposed victim is Mr Cubbs himself, so he has to endure the fate of a real burglar after all, as he called on the "wrong man" [...]
