The Man From Manchester
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
A melodramatic sketch of the closing-down of the pro-patria inventions Ltd - a concern run by a couple of alien enemies - by a couple of English inventors, who find themselves about to be robbed of their ingenious aeroplane devices for the benefit of the German government. The man from Manchester is just in time to aid a fellow-victim, who has been chloroformed by the scoundrels, one of whom meets a just retribution in being shot just before his own infernal machine wrecks his own rascally office. Effective if not very plausible: and recommended for license Ernest A. Bendall
