It has not been possible to identify Gordon Murray. He is not listed in Allardyce Nicoll’s English Drama 1900-1930. There may, or may not, be a connection with the Gordon Murray Duo who were on the bill at the Palace, Plymouth, according to the Western Evening Herald, 23 March 1915, and The Stage, 25 March 1915. And there or may not be a connection with Ethyl Gordon Murray which was the stage name of Alice Ethel Murray who, like her husband Ernest George Batley, was an actor and film producer.
