‘Much appreciation of the humour of Bernard Shaw was shown at the meeting of the West London branch of the I.F.L. at the Red Cow Hotel, Hammersmith Road, W.14, on Tuesday evening last, when his play, “The Showing-up of Blanco Posnet,” was read by some of the members, who gave excellent expression to the parts they took’.
