Read Narrative
‘Very appropriate to the times is the great military drama, “When There Was War,” which is the attraction at the Grand Theatre. An excellent insight into the German spy system is given, and the story abounds in thrilling scenes and incidents. Miss Hilda Beverley gives a fine representation of the leader of the German espionage system, and Mr. Albert Grenville of the British captain. All the other characters are in capable hands’.
