Performed from 2-7 February 1931 by Herbert Mansfield (actor), E. Hamilton Jordan (actor), E.W. Bretton (actor), Hamilton Hunter (actor), Joseph English (actor), Iris Guilliame (actress), Sybil Trevor (actress), Ada Bennet (actress), Jack West (actor), Chas. M. Julian (actor), Reggie Weston (actor). "A play with an unusual atmosphere...is sheer melodrama, but the players give a most colourful performance, and the varied effects necessary to represent a tramp steamer at sea show great resourcefulness. ...The piece opens well, and the scenes on the steamer are done so successfully that a tense atmosphere is attained. The players work well together, and they give comedy just the right weight." (Dundee Evening Telegraph, 3 February 1931)
