Those who appreciate the excellent work in connection with the Women's Theatre Camp Entertainments are to have opportunities to display their sympathy in practical form on February 28, 29 and March 1, when three miniature matinees are to be given in the Margaret Morris Theatre, Flood Street, Chelsea. The programme will consist of two new and original one-act plays, "Kitty's Catch" (by Maria Myers and Patricia Murray) and "Caretakers Within" (by Corton King), with a musical interlude by the artists who have been appearing at the Women's Theatre Camps since the beginning of the war. Civilians scarcely realise the extent of the work of the women in this their sphere, and the amount of pleasure it affords to the soldiers in camps and hospitals. Anzacs, Canadians, British all share in equal measure. At the 300 entertainments given nearly 600 artists have been engaged and though of course no charge is made at the hospital functions, and there are many establishment charges to meet no public appeal for funds has been made. Those who wish to help will have opportunity at the miniature matinees. Lady Forbes Robertson is the president of the Actress' Franchise League, under whose direction the Woman's Camp Entertainments are arranged; Miss Inez Bensucan is the hon. organising secretary; and Miss E, Anton-Lang the business manager with offices at 2 Robert Street, Adelphi. (Globe - Saturday 19 February 1916)
