A Daughter Of Belgium
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
This is a fresh rendering of a tragedietta too familiar just now. The daughter of a Belgian burgomaster is pressed by a Prussian colonel to purchase her father's life at the price of her own honour. By pretending her consent the desperate girl secures the signature necessary to the reprieve; but when the scoundrel takes her in his arms she draws a stiletto from her hair and stabs him in the heart. Painful but otherwise inoffensive; and Recommended for license. Ernest A. Bendall.
