Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This is another spy-play, but with a variant of the usual nationality, as it is a young Belgian chatelaine who, through her semi-German parentage, has been compelled to make a half-hearted attempt at treachery. The British aviator, who, slighting at her friendly chateau, is to be drugged and robbed of his despatches, discovered her plot; but, as he has fallen in love with her at first sight, he behaves so chivalrously that she repents, and does her best, at the risk of her own life, to save her proposed victim. Fairly fresh and ingenious in its bid for sympathy all round. Recommended for license. Ernest A. Bendall.
