An orthodox pantomime re-telling the story of Dick Whittington, his apprentice-ship to Fitzwarren, to the father of his lady-love, Alice, his flight through the false charge brought against him by his rival the idle jack, his encouragement by the chimes heard on Highgate hill and his various triumphs as attained by the aid of his faithful cat.
