Great War Theatre

Researcher's Summary:

The Stage - Thursday 20 February 1913 COSMOPOLIS THEATRE ....The entertainment ended with the dramatic episode, by Basil James and Walter Peacock, Victims, which has, we understand, been revised since its production at the Arts and Dramatic Club. Mr. London and Mlle. Dermont played capitally as the Nihilist and the female spy in this supposedly sensational sketch of the infernal machine and expected explosion sort, which has a humorous "fake" denouement, in which it is suggested that the horrors were all simulated, and that the audience, rather than the dramatis personae were the Victims of the title. Both these items in Mlle. Dermont's bill might be seen again.
