Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This seems an innocent revue as it stands; the dialogue is vulgar but not suggestive, and the business ought not to give scope for impropriety. The first scene is some sort of agency with the staff on strike, replaced by the comedian who gives sham lessons in singing and so forth. The second is at a railway station, with an elaborate joke of selling shilling luncheons and starting the train before they can be eaten, the jokers of course being ultimately scored off. The third is a carnival, with the comedian in the guise of a nouveau riche giving money to get into 'society' Recommended for license G. S. Street
