Examiner of Plays' Summary:

An old-fashioned social farce. The heroine's soldier-lover, coming back from sea when he has been reported drowned by a submarine, finds her about to marry his old father. So between them they make the old man tipsy, and go off to get married with the license secured in his name, leaving him to content himself with a bridge whom he much prefers - his cook. Harmlessly foolish; but the songs to be introduced must, if new, be forwarded for approval
