Robinson Crusoe
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
A commonplace and essentially 'local' telling of the familiar story with a cockney twang throughout. There is no offence in the humours of Mrs Crusoe, Will Atkins, Polly Perkins, Friday and so forth: but of course all the romance of the famous tale is lost. There are a large number of the usual incidental songs the words of which, whether published ones or not, must be forwarded for consideration. Recommended for Licence. Ernest A. Bendall. [in ink] Songs forwarded and passed 13/12
