There is a pleasing novelty in this version of 'Cinderella'in the fact that there are no broker's men in it. Otherwise there is the usual apparatus - the Prince and the valet changing places, the quarrelling sisters and so on. The dialogue is quite harmless, and there is no suggestion of any particularly unpleasant business. The songs must be sent. Recommended for Licence. G. S. Street [in ink below] the songs have come in and are the usual mixture of sentiment and vulgarity. One song 'They all look alike in the Dark', has a concluding verse which should not be. passed, I think. [...]
