Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A very simple rustic comedietta with songs, the kind of old-fashioned piece which used to be classified as burletta. The mild story is that of a village maiden who suddenly learns that she has come into a fortune on the death of her father in Australia, but whose rejoicing is cut short by the information that this fortune has been either mortgaged or spent. There is no dramatic point in this plot, nor is there any offence in its development: but the words of all songs must be forwarded for consideration. Recommended for Licence. Ernest A. Bendall. Songs forwarded and passed.
