Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This is a sketch of the return of the typical 'Old Bill' with his comic pal Sleepy, to the house of three sisters one of whom considers herself engaged to him, while another wants to be and the third makes coquettish fun of both. The wiles of all of them are unsuccessful: and the artful old warrior gets off heart-whole and fancy-free. The humour is of a familiar order and free from offence. Recommended for licence. Ernest A. Bendall.
