The Rose Of Picardy
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
A very slight comedietta. Raoul, a lieutenant, gives important despatches to his love, Cecile, to deliver in Paris, Schmidt the spy steals them and when detected says Cecile gave them to him. Raoul is heartbroken, but Schmidt gives himself away and all is well. A silly thing, depending for any interest on the songs, which are all published. Recommended for licence. G. S. Street.
