The Silvery Sea
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
This mild little tile has for its personified characters the proprietor and members of a seaside Pierrot troupe. They mix themselves up more or less comically with a local farmer and his wife, the former of whom is induced by a blunderer to ride as jockey in a local race which, much to everyone's astonishment, he wins. Pointless but harmless, as are also the published ditties which it introduces. Recommended for Licence. Ernest A. Bendall.
