Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This version is considerably altered. The scenes are re-arranged and in place of the village tank scene there is a prolonged comic business between two workmen. That is the last scene. The first is a scene in 'the park' in which rationing for kissing is supposed to be introduced. Then comes a scene in a butcher’s shop, followed by 'Lady Hoardley's Secret', which is the hiding of food in a bedroom. There is nothing offensive, though there is a good deal of vulgarity in the script. Recommended for licence. G. S. Street.
