A 'revue' or musical farce, having for its scrappy plot the imposition of the comic hero, who steals the credentials of a food inspector and takes advantage of his opportunity for burlesque searches. Amongst his victims are a widow who niece's hand [sic] he demands as blackmail, much to the indignation of her sweetheart. There is a good deal of eccentric shopping with the fraudulent inspector posing as a shop man: there is much rather aimless cross-talk, and there are some songs the words of which must be forwarded for consideration.
