Something to his Advantage
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
Quite an effective little piece. A man calls on a girl in answer to an advertisement for a long lost brother. She tells him that their father left him £5,000. The father had been dead 18 years and the will kept back by their mother, now deceased. But then she suddenly accuses him of having murdered the father and is telephoning for the police when the man confesses he is a fraud - is not her brother at all. And then it appears that she is a fraud too - a novelist who had inserted a bogus advertisement as an experiment. Recommended for Licence. G. S. Street
