Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This is a common place revue with a very simple story, to string together its mild skits upon events of the day. This story shows how a couple of impossible Americans 'see London' under the disadvantageous auspices of some sham-swells of the Rowton house order, whom they met at a coffee-stall on the Embankment, and invite to their housewarming in Park Lane and under the more useful guidance of some Lady Specials. War-work, war-shopping and the performance of a colonial quartette all come in for burlesque, which is good humoured though devoid of wit and harmless though vulgar in tone. Such songs as are not included in the script must be forwarded for consideration. Recommended for License. Ernest A. Bendall. Songs forwarded and passed. EAB 26 April 1918.
