Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This is the burlesque sketch of the application made by an ignorant woman to the local Food Office, where she thinks she can obtain all sorts of food - and drink - but is supplied instead with food cards. In her attempts to fill these up she irritates and bewilders the clerk in charge with various cockney humours which, though vulgar, are otherwise harmless. The song with which the nonsense is wound up must be forwarded for consideration. Recommended for License. Ernest A. Bendall. Song Passed.
