Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

The title of this sketch applies to its audience, which, after seeing how a worthless son about to steal the submarine plans of his father is shot dead by a German spy, (who is at the same game as himself) hears from the stalls the exclamation ‘Didn’t I tell you to kill him in the third act? Now you've done me out of two acts and spoilt the whole play!” Harmless joke. Recommended for licence. Ernest A. Bendall
