Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

The simple domestic sketch of the perpetual interruption of the work of a young authoress by a charwoman, who persists in chattering about her matrimonial experiences. The charwoman proves dishonest as well as garrulus, for during her young mistress's absence from the room she steals some money. She is however, discovered; but is generously forgiven on her appeal for pity; and the curtain falls on her exclamation 'That was a near shave!'. Harmless if pointless, Ernest A. Bendall.
