Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This is the ordinary 'revue' stuff combined with a fairy element. It opens in a village shop with wrangling scenes between the hen-pecked Mr Wrangle and his wife. Mr W. elopes with 'the spirit of the corn', and after an interlude of railway station business we are taken to the 'enchanted cornfield', where Mr W. asserts himself and he and his wife are reconciled. It is all rather stupid, but there is no harm in it. Recommended for License G. S. Street
