A little farce of humble lodging-house life. The land-lady's niece writes a letter telling the general servant that she has come into a title and fortune, whereupon the landlady, who had previously bullied her becomes obsequious and gives her presents. Explanation and fury of landlady, but the servant learns of other good fortune and gives notice. Recommended for Licence. G. S. Street
