The Forty Thieves
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
The familiar story is only varied by the bright idea of making Assim a Scotchman there are many allusions to the food shortage - a godsend to pantomime writers. The dialogue is harmless, and choruses and concerted numbers are given, and I think we may conclude that songs not give are published and harmless too. Recommended for licence. G. S. Street
