The Man Who Came Back to Blighty
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
A simple and restrained sketch of the disillusion of a soldier who comes home, expecting to be welcomed by his wife and little boy, only to learn from the latter that the former has proved faithless, and has replaced him by his trusted friend. His first impulse is to kill his weak wife’s betrayer, and his second is to kill the wife herself. But he resists both and goes back to fight, broken in heart but not in spirit. Quite well written in its rather formal and amateurish way and wholly free from offence. Recommended for license. Ernest A. Bendall
