A Night at an Inn
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
A 'thrill'. Some desperadoes, who have stolen the ruby from an Indian idol, are pursued by the native priest. They are occupying a lonely inn and their leader, a broken-down gentleman, have thought out a clever plan, by which, when the natives arrive, they are knifed one by one. He has not calculated on the idol itself however, which arrives in propria persona and having taken back the ruby goes out thereafter summoning the desperadoes to be slain 'off' in turn. The Grand Guignol is rather suggested, but there is nothing whatever to object to. My only criticism would be that the thrill is a little cheap. Recommended for Licence. G. S. Street
