Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

There is really only one grouser, Mr Gunter, a middle-aged man who complains of the restrictions imposed on him by the war and he is put to shame by two cheerful wounded soldiers, one of whom is blind and the other has lost an arm. Jim, the blind one, is in love with Gunter’s daughter, who refused him before the war but now in pity accepts him. The scene between them is really touching and the whole play is well-written.
