Moonshine
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
A little skit on the times we live in. The scene is the platform of a tube station. After a flirtation between a porter, who turns out to be a peer, and a cleaner, a peer’s daughter, various people come on as a result of a supposed air raid warning. They include a large family of children, women with pet dogs, a comic duke and duchess and so forth. Then ‘Calisthenes’ (the man who writes advertisements for Selfridges) has a comic scene in heroic couplets and finally the alarm turns out to be a mistake. Innocent fun. Recommended for license. G. S. Street
