Examiner of Plays' Summary:

An innocent little piece with positively a coherent plot. A statue of Psyche in the Pomona Gardens is told it will come to life if wooed by a mortal. There is a bal [sic] masque in the Gardens and Timothy and his wife come unknown to each other. Timothy has her wedding ring which he has taken to be altered and to decide a bet about its size puts it on Psyche's finger. Psyche then comes to life and thinks she is Timothy's wife. She comes next day to his shop, a lady-barber's, and there are complications there, and Matilda, and eventually Psyche decides she will go back and be a statue. It is all harmless, but perhaps there had better be a caution that the actress who plays the part of the statue must be properly draped.
