Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

This ‘musical melange’, as it is described, tells the story of How the ‘princess monetary’, having fallen in love with an English sailor, Jack, comes to England in search of him, disguised as a gypsy; how she bribes a policeman to get Jack, his father and the rest of the caste into her ship, and takes them to monetary; how the emperor has them arrested, and how she then reveals herself and marries Jack, the dialogue is harmless, with one or two vulgarities not worth noting. The songs are not given and must be sent. Recommended for license. G. S. Street
