Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A miniature spy-melodrama, making use of the cinematograph for the illustration of some of its episodes. Its opening scene shows how this hero is robbed of some secret despatches by his divorced German wife, thus compromising his honour as a British officer. In later scenes, with their action laid in France, the hero has several thrilling experiences before he can again regain the papers stolen from him. This however, he alternately accomplishes, incidentally saving also a lady who, as a nurse, is in danger from the German soldiery, and whom he hopes to make his second wife. Wildly improbable but quite harmless. Recommended for license. Ernest A. Bendall
