Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

[...] The Duchess, together with her dressmaker, takes refuge from a storm in a villager's cottage whither there follows with the same object a snobbish local neighbour, very anxious to get Mr B [ ...] to call. Unluckily she mistakes the dressmaker for his employer and she puzzles [...] by her obsequiousness as much as she does [...] by her vulgar airs of social superiority. The Comedietta if rather old fashioned in method is bright and fresh in characterisation, so it should prove well fitted for amateur production. Recommended for Licence Ernest A. Bendall
