Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A musical farce with a nonsensical story of the quest for a magic sugar island, to which an "immortal' conduct a young farmer. Her object is to induce the sugar seeker to kiss her and thus remove the spell which has compelled her to remain among the mortals on earth. In the course of the voyage which she and the rest of the dramatic personae undertake she arouses the jealousy of one of your fellow travellers: but the mild trouble is soon explained away. The unambitious trifle is quite inoffensive as are the song, all of them published ones, which it serve to introduce. Recommended for Licence Ernest A. Bendall
