The Wounded
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
[...] The "wounded" are a couple of old friends, a man and woman, whose respective spouses have eloped together and have in consequence been discovered. The meeting of the pair begins with sympathetic friendship which at first seems likely to ripen into mutual love. But the memories of the bygone catastrophe from which both have suffered arise at each turn of the conversation and suggest, at all events to the woman, that they had better not see one another again. A thoughtful and subtle if not very satisfying study of a difficult theme, which is treated with easy good taste throughout. Recommended for Licence Ernest A. Bendall
