Great War Theatre

Examiner of Plays' Summary:

A man finds a woman trying to mend her car. They exchange badinage on various subject, chiefly about her low cut dress [...] and jokes at the expense of Ford cars. In the end he asks her to marry him and they sing a song. On page 5 I have marked a passage describing a child in terms of a motor which contains an unpleasant joke. The last verse of the song contains a censure of President Wilson. Personally I think these expressions of opinion, which have always hitherto been permitted, legitimate and that in such an insignificant piece they cannot anyhow do any harm. Recommended for Licence.
