Fun and Beauty (revised version)
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
This is a new version of the play as already licensed. Its alterations, especially in the opening scene of nonsense talk about lion-hunting are considerable, as they are also in the burlesque rehearsal (scene 5) "On and Off the Stage". New scenes are introduced in "The Man who Couldn't Lie" and "Piccadilly" of which the former is a one-act sketch illustrating the disadvantage of truth-telling and the latter is a song with 'Pattern for Mr Formby'. Neither in the alterations nor additions is there anything objectionable and the songs are apparently to be those in the original production. Recommended for Licence Ernest A. Bendall
