A Christmas Carol
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
A new and fairly workmanlike adaptation for the stage of Dicken's famous Christmas story. The harsh meanness of Scrooge, the sermon preached to him by the Ghost of his late partner Marley, and the vision in which he sees himself transformed into the beneficent patron of his bullied clerk Bob Cratchit - all these, together with Tiny Tim, the giant turkey, and the rest, are all duly set forth: and the wholesome fairy-tale is neatly prepared to serve its dramatic as well as didactic purpose.
