Robinson Crusoe
Examiner of Plays' Summary:
This is a version, more remote than is usual in pantomime, of Defoe's famous story. It gives much prominence to the villainy of Will Atkins, who is made to double the roles of Wicked Squire and Pirate, having Davy Jones for his ally in his machinations against Robinson Crusoe and Polly Perkins in their adventurous voyage and shipwreck. Rather common in tone but quite innocuous. Recommended for license. Ernest A. Bendall.
